Increased Production of Taxoids in Suspension Cultures of Taxus globosa after Elicitation

چکیده
The objectives of this study were to investigate whether elicitors induce the production taxoids in Taxus globosa by testing hypothesis that cells a greater accumulation depending on type and concentration elicitor treatment tested. Cell cultures initiated from friable calli for producing using Gamborg medium supplemented with different initial combinations growth regulators as follows: naphthaleneacetic acid, benzylaminopurine, picloram, polyvinylpyrrolidone. cell suspension then used evaluating taxoid through treatments, such methyl jasmonate, ethanol, buthionine sulphoximine, hydrogen peroxide. showing best characteristics found 10.74 µM acid 3.33 picloram. highest biomass was obtained EtOH-2 (0.12 ± 0.005 mg·g−1 dry weight) after 8 days, while control at time 0.095 0.2 weight. exogenous application combination peroxide significantly increased 10-deacetylbaccatin (1662 µg·g−1 weight), cephalomannine (334.32 taxol (157.0 weight).

Simultaneous identification and determination of major taxoids from extracts of Taxus chinensis cell cultures.
Liquid chromatography electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC/ESI-MS/ MS) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods have been used to identify and quantify the major taxoids from extracts of Taxus chinensis cell cultures. Chromatography was carried out on a reverse phase C18 column with isocratic-mode elution. By analytically comparing LC/ESI-MS/MS of the extracts w...
متن کاملElicitation studies in cell suspension cultures of Cannabis sativa L.
Cannabis sativa L. plants produce a diverse array of secondary metabolites. Cannabis cell cultures were treated with biotic and abiotic elicitors to evaluate their effect on secondary metabolism. Metabolic profiles analysed by (1)H NMR spectroscopy and principal component analysis (PCA) showed variations in some of the metabolite pools. However, no cannabinoids were found in either control or e...
متن کاملElicitation of gymnemic acid production in cell suspension cultures of Gymnema sylvestre R.Br. through endophytic fungi
The enhancement of plant secondary metabolite production in cell suspension cultures through biotic or abiotic elicitation has become a potential biotechnological approach for commercialization or large-scale production of bioactive compounds. Gymnema sylvestre R.Br. is an important medicinal plant, rich in a group of oleanane triterpenoid saponins called gymnemic acid, well known for its anti-...

In biotechnology has been concentrated to review alternative routes for the production of natural compounds. Plant cell culture systems are viable alternatives for the production of secondary metabolites that are of commercial importance in food and pharmaceutical industries. However, relatively very few cultures synthesize these compounds over extended periods in amounts comparable to those fo...
